The Final Duties Probate Fees Model
As the first probate broker in England and Wales, Final Duties has specialised in low cost probate for over 10 years. Final Duties was founded in order to provide a cost effective option to estate administration and probate services.
At Final Duties, we have designed our own probate fees model that goes against the traditional hourly rates and percentage charging systems often used in the probate industry. Using our own probate fee model we are able to provide our clients with a fair fixed fee probate service without sacrificing quality.
Fixed fee low cost probate quote
Our fees are agreed upfront before any work takes place so you know from the onset what you are going to pay once the work has been completed.
Our probate specialist will talk you through an Estate Fact Find to establish what assets make up the estate and what work is involved in administering it. This is an important process because unlike some firms, our fees are not based on the value of the estate but focus on the actual volume of work. Going through this information at the start allows us to provide you with the most accurate fee possible and save you money from the very beginning.
As our low cost probate fee model only takes into account the actual work involved in administering an the estate and not its value, estates of a higher value are not penalised like they would be under a percentage charging structure. It also means that even if the value of the estate increases our fees won’t change.
An example of how our fee model works would be when there are 2 estates, one with a value of £200,000 and another with a value of £300,000 but both estates consist of one property, one bank account and identical distribution then the fees would be the same.
Our probate fee model also saves you time and effort as our estate fact find can be completed over the phone in approximately 15-20 minutes, so there is no need to travel to a solicitor’s office.
If you are looking for fixed fee low cost probate send us an enquiry via our website and a member of our team will contact you for a free Estate Fact Find consultation with one of our probate specialists.

The Final Duties Solicitor
We work with a unique panel of solicitors all of whom are regulated by the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) and unlike some probate firms they take on complete responsibility for ensuring your estate is administered correctly. The solicitors on our panel are also STEP members (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) this means they specialise in in probate and Estate administration and are subject to an extensive Code of Professional Conduct. Working with a diverse and specialist group of professionals means we can always place your case with the most appropriate partner best qualified to deal with your estate whilst ensuring they have the capacity to deliver great customer service.
Guaranteed Fixed Fee Probate
Few solicitors will provide fixed probate fees, you will most commonly find hourly rates, percentage rates or a combination of both. These types of fee structures mean you won’t know the final cost until the bill arrives. We take comprehensive details of the estate at the outset so that we can provide a fixed fee written probate quotation that is guaranteed not to increase unless the details of the estate change.
Absolutely no Hidden Fees
Our fixed fee quotation will include a 24 point schedule for our low cost probate and full estate administration service. This schedule sets out exactly what service you will receive and a breakdown of all other charges and disbursements.
Possible disbursements that we are able to identify early on in our fact finding process are detailed in our quote. Our probate specialist will point out what additional services may be applicable to your circumstances.
We only deal with fully qualified solicitors. This means that all client monies are held securely in their clients’ accounts and protected by the solicitors’ compensation fund. This gives you absolute financial security and peace of mind.
