A number of people seem to be applying  for probate themselves. If they have both the time and are confident enough it is a process that people can do themselves. However you can encounter loads of problems doing DIY probate.

Most people applying for probate normally have some kind of experience in dealing with DIY probate, or the estate  they are dealing with is very straightforward and is left to 1 or more people. This means that the deceased didn’t own a property or have many assets.
